This branded project took our team deep into the world of car culture within Los Angeles and Tokyo. This talent’s story involved a heavy focus on the underground car meets ups where different crews meet up to drag race, listen to music, and check out custom-built cars.

We had a limited budget so paying a large cast of people and picture cars was not an option on this shoot. Thankfully we were able to partner closely with Malibu Autobahn who hooked us up. They supplied several vehicles and even invited friends from the car meetup world to join our crew on set.

Mitch, our DP leaned heavily on practical lighting techniques from the 1970s as well as several Wong-Kar Wai references to make the night scenes shine while working with limited equipment resources and time.
